We exist to serve, personally accommodate, and improve the quality of life for our CLIENTS, our CARRIERS, and our COMPANY, within the auto transportation industry.After working for almost seven years with her family's company, Laurel Sharpe launched Getaway Day Agency in March 2023 on Opening Day.Laurel has been a professional baseball wife for almost 20 years, and understands the needs of players and their families. Getaway Day Agency strives to meet those needs both confidentially and with ease, as an auto transportation brokerage.From the beginning it has been our dream to grow this company offering more work opportunities for women in baseball. In 2024, we are grateful to begin growing Getaway Day Agency, welcoming seven new agents to assist our clients!

Since 2020, she has been traveling with her husband for baseball and is passionate about helping others with their shipping needs. Kara
Born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, Kara met her husband while playing softball at Southern Illinois University Carbondale. They married in 2017 and welcomed a baby boy in 2024. Kara comes from a career in sales, and is excited to bring her hard working mentality to the car shipping industry.
Katelynn
Katelynn understands the fast-paced life of baseball, as her fiancé is currently with the Seattle Mariners. With firsthand experience of the challenges that come with frequent moves, she knows how stressful car shipping can be—especially in the baseball world. Her goal is to make the process as smooth and hassle-free as possible, ensuring a seamless experience for every client.
Kristen Laroche
Kristen Laroche is married and a proud mother of three daughters. Her husband is a hitting coach in the Royals organization, and they live in Bradenton, Florida.
Milene
Milene is a wife and mother of three who has spent over 13 years traveling with her husband, embracing the baseball life. Having shipped her own car numerous times, she understands the process firsthand and is excited to use that experience to assist others with their car transport needs, making the process as seamless as possible.
Madeline
Born & raised in southern California, Madeline met her husband Cody while playing for the UCLA women’s basketball team. She has channeled the determination and grit built during her own athletic career towards striving for excellence in her roles as a traveling baseball wife, mom, homeschool teacher, and car shipper! Her greatest devotion is to the Lord Jesus Christ.

Laurel is also a Certified Fundraising Executive and is grateful to use her philanthropic passion assisting the Sisters of the Society of Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity, supporting their missions around the world.
In December 2024, she and the sisters completed a $7.5M capital campaign in Corpus Christi, Texas. With a heart to serve others, and a spirit of entrepreneurship, she is currently working on her business venture, Daily Devotive. Laurel resides near the Blue Ridge Mountains in Virginia, alongside her favorite person, Steve, and blessed with three sons, Samson, Solomon, and Simon Peter.
